Halo Reach Live Action Short Coming Soon

April 26, 2010 - Microsoft will be releasing a live-action short entitled "Birth of a Spartan" Tuesday evening at 9 PM Pacific. Directed by Noam Murro, the video is said to offer a glimpse into one of the darkest secrets of the Halo universe as it outlines the transformation of Carter 259 – the leader of Noble Team -- from a normal person to a Spartan. The video will, be broadcast on several UK and US TV networks, be shown in movie theaters across North America, and will be available right here on IGN.com.

The video will first premiere on Sky Sports 2 at the start of the Champions League semi-final match between Lyon and Bayern Munich in the UK. In the US it will first be shown on ABC's "V" and will later follow on several cable networks. At 9 PM Pacific it will hit the Internet and you can view it right here on IGN. A special two minute and 30 second version of the live-action short will appear on Xbox Live on April 28 for download by Gold members only. Those without Gold will be able to catch it before screenings of Iron Man 2 during its opening weekends.
