Just did some crazy reading.

After finishing up Dr Halseys journal I wanted to read up alot about halo.

Basically I read the summary of each of the books and games over in the timeline in which it happened. Super interesting stuff. I actually know why the war started between the humans and covenant. More about the reasons for glassing planets. The spartan project. The flood. Oynx.

The only thing I still dont get is what happens after halo 3. True they stopped the rings from firing and killed the flood on the ark and newly built halo. But the covenant still exist with a number of halo rings. Couldn't the covenant go and activate another?

The covenant is gone. At least the backbone of it. All the major Prophets are dead. Lower tier are in hiding. Safe to say that all the Covenant species have learn of the Prophets lies.

The destruction of the Ark either did 1 of 2 things.

1. Made the rings useless
2. Destroyed the rings.
