Why do yo have an xbox?

Just wondering everyones reasoning behind getting an xbox.

Back in 2005 during the superbowl that year, my grandpas neighbor asked us if we wanted to come over and play some Halo 2. Before then I had never heard of it so I said yes. I get over there and it's me, my dad, my cousin, the neighbor, and a bunch of other people and we just have this lan and we play for like 3 hours straight. From that point on I was hooked on Halo and I just had to get an xbox. I was a hardcore playstation fanboy before then, and right when I got my xbox I got xbox live. Then about a year later I got my xbox 360.

So pretty much, Halo 2 is the reason why I have a xbox.

back when i was around 16, i wasnt the most reputable character lol but i wanted to make changes in my life and i was willing to try different things
something im pretty sure no one knows, i was suspended for a full semester at school and while i was off i needed to occupy myself with something a little more "safe" i wanted a Wii at the time but it was sold out and the ps3 still cost way to much so i bought the 20 gig 360 with CoD 3 which i later traded in for sonic but ya i kind of never looked back and adopted the gamer/geek lifestyle

I had always been gaming anyway so it just came to me as i went up through consoles from sega - ps1 - xbox - 360.

I became a huge xbox fan for the same reason as nub except it was for halo 1. Someone bought me it for my birthday one year and loved halo and the 360 ever since.

My story with the xbox starts way back during the summer of 2004, when I had just passed with flying colors on my citywide tests, and my parents were ready to buy me just about anything. After a bit of scrolling through EBGames.com, I Found en epic deal: An xbox packaged with Halo 2, Crimson Skies, and a 12 month card of Xbox Live for $250 dollars.

I just like any other try hard 10 year old Halo 2 player made a lot of common mistakes ei: Wasting a 2 month to get "modded up", and then getting robbed of that 2 month, Wasting a 2 month on making a new account, which then I made my mom pay for an upgrade to a 12 month which I never played on. You get the jist of it. Eventually, the Xbox 360 came along, and I bought it along with Splinter Cell D.A., Call of Duty 3, and Gears of War.

At the same time, I had just gotten banned from the Bungie.net forums as Halo 3 was just announced. I had then needed a new forum to express my geek excitement. The rest you all know.

I remember the first game I've played was the original Wolfenstein for PC back when I was 4 or 5 years old. For there, I became both a PC and Console gamer until I played Halo 1 the first time on the PC. I became hooked on Halo and desperately wanted to play Halo 2, but unfortunately I already owned a PS2 and my strict asian parents couldn't understand why I would need a second console when I already had one.

So naturally, when the Xbox 360 came out and Halo 3 was announced, I bought a bundle at Costco for $299.99 that included two games, two controllers, a three month XBL, Xbox 360 Pro console, and a play and charge kit. At that time, the main factor that drove me for a Xbox 360 was the price of the PS3. It was simply too expensive and when I saw the Halo 3 trailer, I simply had to get it.

I wanted one so I got it.

I was over a friends house and we started playing unreal for original xbox. after that i went out and bought 2 xbox's and 2 copies of unreal. we started to LAN unreal for a while until i got halo:ce. after that we used to hold big ass halo LAN parties on a regular basis.

The reason I got a 360 was solely H3.

I have been an avid gamer since the Atari days so it was only natural that I evolved with the consoles.

Back in the day I used to live, breathe, eat, shit and fuck Halo CE. I shared a house with 5 other guys and we all owned xboxs with Halo CE, so at any given time you could find at least a Hang em' High 2v2 or a Bloodgulch 4v4 happening. My life was kinda in a different direction during the H2 era so I really did not game much then. When my life calmed down a bit it was H3 release time, so I grabbed an Elite with H3 and the Marvel/Forza combo pack. The rest you guys know

I was at a party and all of my cousins were playing this xbox game. I realized that it was Halo 2. I've only heard and seen gameplay for it, so I was kinda surprised they had it. They asked if I wanted to play so I was like sure it looks fun. After about 10-15 minutes of playing and getting my ass kicked, I knew I had to buy it.
